MASAVA Rig Cleaner is a basic and effective waterbased all-round degreasing product, specifically developed for use on ships and drilling rigs in the Norwegian part of the North Sea. The product is used where oil, grease and other dirt must be removed from floors, walls, carpets, inventory, machinery, machine parts, filters and other surfaces that can withstand water.
The product can furthermore be used for washing work clothes, in the accommodation for stain cleaning of upholstery and carpets, removal of nicotine from walls in cabins and saloons and in the galley for wash-down of Galley exhauster fan and other greasy or soiled surfaces.
Dilute with cold or warm water at ratio 1:5 or 1:10 depending of the cleaning required.
Filters: Soak for approx. 15 min.
Apply solution with a cloth, brush, sponge, high-pressure cleaner, mop or floor washer.
Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves while working.
If used on glass surfaces, rinse off with water before the product dries up.
The product can cause matting of glass if not properly rinsed off.
The product is an aqueous solution of non-ionic tensides, glycolether, silicate and calciumbinding agent.
An approved HOCNF datasheet according to the extended Norwegian and British rules is available.
Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection during handling. Nitrile rubber gloves may be used. Using spraying (high-pressure cleaner) tight fitting safety glasses, or possibly facial mask or respiratory equipment must be worn.
MASAVA Rig Cleaner is specifically developed according to the newest international standards for degradability and discharging into sea environments. The product is approved by the Norwegian, British and Danish authorities.
It is used on Danish and Norwegian drilling rigs, where high environmental requirements of chemicals are demanded, and as a more environmental concerning alternative than the traditional MASAVA Offshore Cleaner.
The product also finds many applications onshore among these as an effective primary cleaning product before painting.
